Well first of all, Rangers come with either a 4.0L or 3.0L V6 or a 2.3L 4 cyl, does not count. i have a 2000 F-150 now with the 4.6 and my 98 had the 4.6 as well, and as for the F250 GAS you raced, you have to put into effect the power to weight ratio, an f250 is a 3/4 ton pickup with a 6.8L V-10(in which case you would have been smoked)or a 5.4L V8 in it made for the F150 and F250LD(F250 with 150 body) what motor was in the 150? and you have a 1/4 ton pickup with a 1/2 pickup motor in it, again power to weight ratio. your going to beat a vehicle that weighs more than you garunteed. i could go into the gear ratios too, but im not. my buddies durango has the 4.7 in it and i smoke him everytime top and bottom end. we both run 3:73 gearing in the back and i weigh a lot more than him. my buddy has a 98 Ram 1500 ext short box, with the 5.2 same as my truck in every aspect but make and model and we were pretty damn even, but all im saying is your argument is INVALID now that I know you are racing full size pickups with a 1/4ton, its uneven. put your dakota up against a ranger with the 5.0L in it. you wont be anywhere to be found

Badbrass95, I can bet you any money it wont, beat any ford stock, only because my old 4.6 smoked a 4.7 without a chip exhaust or any other performance adding mod

yea, i dont know how they are on that body style. i just know mine are super easy. but all in all great truck brother i love it
